Add to CalendarCall for proposals for project funding under the Daimler and Benz Foundation's “Forum Research” funding line
The “Forum Research” funding line brings together projects from the Daimler and Benz Foundation that are characterized by scientific originality, social relevance, and a manageable project scope.
With the “Forum Research” funding line, the Daimler and Benz Foundation provides limited support for promising scientific projects from all disciplines. The funds are intended to enable scientists to initiate innovative scientific projects with social relevance or to make existing results usable in practice. Both basic and application-oriented research projects are eligible for funding. Pilot projects are also eligible for funding.
Independent research group leaders who are permanently or temporarily employed at universities or non-profit non-university research institutions in Germany for the entire duration of the project can apply for funding of up to €150,000 for a research project. In addition to professors, junior professors, and postdoctoral researchers, persons with management experience, such as postdoctoral researchers who are at an advanced stage of their scientific career and already lead their own research group, are also eligible to apply.
Only one application may be submitted per applicant. Applications may be submitted for funding for a clearly defined research project with a central research question. The following are not eligible for funding
• clinical studies,
• the exclusive establishment of pure research, training, or continuing education structures, as well as capacity building,
• projects that serve solely to promote young scientists.
The projects should be completed within a maximum period of three years.
