As part of our cluster conference, we will also be awarding the poster prize ‘(Inter)national Cooperation for Cutting-Edge Medicine from North Rhine-Westphalia’ for young scientists on 25 March 2026 in Düsseldorf.

The poster competition, including the poster exhibition at the cluster conference, is aimed at young scientists from academia, clinics or innovative companies based in North Rhine-Westphalia. First and last authors of posters are eligible to participate.

The cluster conference will focus on the topics of translation, interdisciplinarity and the promotion of young talent. Important criteria for applicants are:

• Topics from at least one of the cluster's flagship projects are addressed.

• Translation aspects are addressed – the poster goes beyond pure basic research.

• Collaboration in the project with at least one other institution outside North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany, EU, worldwide): joint third-party funded project / network / infrastructure (including graduate schools, SFB, infrastructure projects) or joint publication (accepted is sufficient).

The three highest-rated posters in the competition will receive a cash prize of €500 to use as they wish. In addition, the entrants will be allowed to present their project in a 10-minute short presentation at the cluster conference.

Contributions to the poster exhibition and poster competition can be submitted until 16 January 2026!
