RWTH Innovation Award 2026: Applications now open!
The RWTH Innovation Award 2026 recognizes individuals developing compelling solutions on the path from idea to innovation. These may include a technology, process, product, invention, or software. Individuals are eligible if they developed their contribution to innovation during employment at RWTH Aachen University, Uniklinik RWTH Aachen or Forschungszentrum Jülich. Developments that have already been commercialized are also eligible, provided their first commercialization took place no more than three years before the application.
The three most compelling contributions will be honored at an award ceremony and receive cash prizes. New in 2026: The first-place winner also receives the “Prize in Honour of Arthur Eichengrün”, with €10,000 in funding to support the timely further development of the award-winning innovation. The funding is paid to the associated university chair or startup.
