DFG-Communicator Prize2027

The German Research Foundation (DFG) is announcing the Communicator Prize 2027, endowed with 50,000 euros, for outstanding achievements in science communication.

“Each year, the DFG and the Stifterverband honor researchers from all disciplines for making their scientific work and their field accessible to a broad audience in particularly innovative, diverse, and effective ways, thereby fostering dialogue between science and society.

Both self-nominations and nominations by others are accepted. The call for nominations is open to researchers working at universities and non-university research institutions in Germany. With this award and the prize money, the DFG and Stifterverband aim to support the awardees in further developing their science communication activities.

Applications and nominations may be submitted to the DFG by September 30, 2026.”
