Invitation to the themed evening ‘I've started a business’ on 24 June 2026

Dear female PhD students,

Have you ever thought about starting a business?

TANDEM alumna Dr Svenja Wein did just that and developed “Calilu”, a digital health app that helps parents navigate their children’s everyday health needs. The launch is scheduled for October 2026. She built the app entirely on her own as a solo founder — without a technical co-founder, whilst raising three children, and with support from the EXIST-Women programme at RWTH Aachen University.

We are delighted that she is sharing personal insights into her journey from research to entrepreneurship and speaking openly about the challenges, setbacks and what has worked.

The event, to which we warmly invite you, is part of the IGaD series and will take place on 24 June 2026 between 5.00 pm and 6.30 pm in cooperation with the Career Centre at RWTH.
