Henriette Herz Scouting Program
Every year, around 40 people (research group leaders and professors) are selected as “scouts” in a competitive peer review process, who then independently identify up to three potential research fellows abroad (whose doctorate must not date back more than 12 years and who have not yet applied to the Foundation) and propose them for a Humboldt Research Fellowship, which is awarded directly after a positive formal review by the Head Office. In this way, excellent researchers from abroad can be strategically added to your own working group.
Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship
The Feodor Lynen Research Fellowship supports postdocs (who completed their doctorate no more than four years ago) or experienced researchers (who completed their doctorate no more than twelve years ago) with their research project abroad. Postdocs can apply for a 6- to 24-month fellowship, experienced researchers for a 6- to 18-month fellowship (divisible into up to three stays within three years)
