Publication entry in RWTH Publications
RWTH Publications is the central document server of RWTH Aachen University. According to RWTH’s publication guidelines (as of September 30, 2020), all scholarly publications by RWTH members must be entered here.
At the Faculty of Medicine, all publications that are imported into EVALuna Biblio during the data collection round are automatically transferred to RWTH Publications. We ask that you enter all other publications (this applies in particular to articles in non-SCIE-listed journals, book chapters, monographs, and theses) into RWTH Publications or report them to the respective persons responsible for entry at your institution.
A detailed video tutorial on entering publications into RWTH Publications can be found here:
More detailed information on RWTH Publications can also be found in the guide. Information and assistance regarding the entry of dissertations can be found on the University Library’s website.
Please note the following in particular:
- Before entering a publication, briefly check whether it is already in the database
- If available, use identifiers such as DOI or ISBN. (This significantly reduces the workload and ensures high data quality.)
- If you cannot find your institution, try using the institutional codes available on this website. Otherwise, please contact forschungsdekanat-evaluna@ukaachen.de. If the publication involves other RWTH institutions, please add these institutions as well to the best of your knowledge!
- If available, link the Aachen-based authors involved in the publication to the corresponding author record. If you are an author yourself, it may be worthwhile to create an author record in RWTH Publications and link it to your ORCID.
- If a record for your institution contains errors, you can request a correction from the editorial team using the “Request Correction” function (bottom right).
- Larger batches of records can also be submitted to RWTH Publications in BibTeX format. Please use this function only for large volumes of publications and clean them up beforehand to avoid duplicates.
The RWTH Publications team regularly offers detailed introductions to this and other topics in the form of online courses and workshops.
If you have any questions or need clarification, you can also contact forschungsdekanat-evaluna@ukaachen.de or the editorial team at RWTH Publications.
