Sustainability
RWTH aims to achieve climate neutrality by 2030 - you can find comprehensive information on this in the sustainability roadmap and the RWTH sustainability mission statement, for example. You can keep up to date with developments by subscribing to the Sustainability newsletter.
Since 2022, the Faculty of Medicine has also had a Lab Sustainability working group, which, among other things, has put together some easy-to-implement measures for more sustainable laboratory work [as of 04.03.2024].
The DFG provides a catalog of key questions for the sustainable design of a research project. Comprehensive information can be found in the BMBF-funded guidelines on sustainability in university research.
In addition, the RWTH's Sustainability Fund is available since 2022, from which measures that contribute to a more sustainable operation of the university can be funded with up to €25,000 - projects in the area of research and teaching are excluded here.
