CV-Template of the DFG
The DFG provides a template for the academic CV, which has been mandatory for DFG grant applications since March 1, 2023.
Even if you do not currently plan to submit a grant application to the DFG, it may be worthwhile to take a brief look at the template, as it offers insights into how research evaluation might evolve in the coming years.
In particular:
The publication list should contain no more than 10 peer-reviewed publications. Quantitative metrics such as the Journal Impact Factor (IF) are expressly not taken into account.
The template provides ample space to describe the individual context and unique aspects of your own academic career, as well as various aspects of your academic engagement.
The template asks you to provide your ORCID, if available.
CV Template for Intramural Funding
For applications under the various intramural funding programs of the Faculty of Medicine, there is a customized CV template based on the DFG’s.
Other
If you wish to use the CV template in other contexts, please note that additional aspects may be given special weight in those contexts and would need to be supplemented. (For example, proof of experience and GCP knowledge for ethics applications related to clinical trials).
