URA Connect

We would like to draw your attention to the next URA-Connect Meeting on Wednesday 27th August 2025 at 5 pm in Spiegelsaal of the UKA (Ground Floor, Hall 3, Room 1). This time’s speaker will be Matthias Schmitz giving a talk on his paper of the month for August titled “Lineage-specific microbial protein prediction enables large-scale exploration of protein ecology within the human gut”

The Researcher Alliance of the Uniklinik Aachen, URA for short, is an association of young scientists from all specialities and research institutions (PhDs, postdocs, but also scientifically active physicians) who work at the hospital. The focus is on networking, representing interests and promoting young scientists in particular. To this end, meetings are held on the last Wednesday of each month. The current winner of the Paper of the Month award gives a short presentation about his or her research. Afterwards, you can meet new people while playing board games or simply talk to your peers.
